It’s a wonderful idea. Unfortunately, it will take a constitutional amendment to abolish the Electoral College. A workaround is the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC). We only need 48 more votes to attain the requisite 270. Lobby your state officials! www.nationalpopularvote.com
