* Democratizing Ribo-seq: RAPPL-seq* RAPPL-seq allows robust and high-efficiency Ribo-seq by substantially improving ribosome recovery www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... After developing a fast and robust method to isolate ribosomes, RAPPL: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
Postu gösterExtremely happy with the hard work of 2 years with John's lab in Phoenix and our tiny group here in Bilbao. I hope you like it!
Postu gösterThis project was challenging due to scarcity of the material. We extracted ribosomes using RAPPL (thanks @djuranoviclab.bsky.social !) from 2 wild cicadas and RELION-5 was essential to squeeze all the information. Blush regularization and ModelAngelo were absolutely essential, as well as AF3
Postu gösterI hope you wrote to your professor when the ribosomal structure was solved by X-ray crystallography?
Postu gösterToday together with Prof. John McCutcheon lab @arizonastateuni.bsky.social we have visualized by cryoEM what looks like a very funky ribosome from an insect endosymbiont. We believe there are important evolutionary implications. Here the pre-print: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
