that said i guess, hollywood lost his mom, ghost loses her "father", alex lost her parents, hazard lost breach. ashley has lost nearly everyone in his life, and ellis has lost both their parents. nes loses their best friend and, depending on the ending, zeke.

i mean genuinely, who hasn't. i feel like every character should experience some kind of great loss, whether in backstory or present. it shows what kind of person they are, how they handle their grief and the loss of something important to them. it shapes them, just as it shapes us.
