Ahh, it’s a ghost! Just had to paint one of them with a fantasy ghost theme, then immediately remembered how difficult it is to photograph this color. Evading cameras? I would expect nothing less from a ghost! 😆👻 #CatsOfBluesky #BSNM #Miniatures #SupportArtists #ResinArt

Not sure if this might help, but I made a pros & cons list for every platform I was interested in. Made it way easier to see which one fit goals and business setup the best!

Cons: Have to drive your own traffic. Limited shop space. Shipping has been a pain to figure out. I think I found a setting that collects a proper amount for supplies and actual shipping, but do sometimes have to refund for extra shipping. (To be fair, had to do that with Etsy sometimes too).

When I left Etsy, I went to BigCartel. Overall I’m pretty happy with it, but it definitely has pros & cons. Pros: Visually integrates better with my website. Fees are much more straight forward than Etsy’s ever were. Offers tax collecting, so it’s not a nightmare for me.

When I found out that a lot of my work had been scraped from Etsy, it felt like a huge betrayal. But for them to actively put that in their terms is overt line crossing. So sorry for all the folks that are having to flee quickly from the new policy, hope you all can find good new shop homes!
