    actually perhaps even more irritating is SOME punctuation being in the script but not all. It's easy thing to assume doesn't really matter, but it makes a very boring part of the process a lot smoother when it's done right!

    you also shouldn't be sending letterers unedited scripts unless the editor and translator are on the same page in terms of formatting/style, otherwise get ready for a bunch of unnecessary work

    I don't know who needs to hear this, but manga scripts need to have punctuation bubbles like ... ?! !! ...!!! etc translated in the script. They are often live text in the Japanese lettering, so skipping them makes pasting text a pain in the ass

    I recently got back 261 corrections for a book and 158 were grammar-related. A 1-hour job took 3. Editing scripts beforehand can save letterers weeks of work, requires no additional work and speeds up the production process for everyone. All that's needed is shifting the order things are done.
