    Now, all that said: they did ask me if my address was still 88 Tiffany Avenue. Which is the flat my dad lived in from 1990 to 1999. So that was kinda fun. Between that and Dr Dada showing me a picture of her beautiful new baby, I guess I’d say overall all of this was fun and good and a success.

    They said “have your GP send in a referral, we’ll call you in three to four weeks.” So I did. And here’s a surprise: they didn’t call me. So I called. They said yeah, they never got anything from my GP. Note that I am on the middle of moving my family of five 350 miles from LA to Berkeley.

    They said to have my doctor fax in a referral (fax only!), and wait three to four weeks, and they would call me. So I did. And no one called me. So I called them. They said “yeah, we denied it, because the referral came from your neurologist. Needs to be from your GP. Also we didn’t tell you this.”
