    If had this leadership last election from the NDP it would either be a minority liberal government with NDP holding the balance or perhaps even an NDP minority. There was a huge vacuum in leadership in the NDP leaving Liberal and Cons with poor Elizabeth May practically having to it herself.

    Actually it's better this way -- instead of taxing people's work, it's a tax on the wealth that they just sit on (stocks, real estate, etc.) Lots of CEOs actually pay themselves next to nothing to dodge income tax.

    Pretty funny how the NDP wealth tax proposal is blowing this reporter’s mind. It’s not a tax on income — it’s a tax (starting at just 1%!!!) on people who are worth at least TEN MILLION dollars! Even if you’re a home owner, I doubt your house is worth ten million.

    Based on the full start of the exchange, it sounds like he thinks Lewis is playing semantic word games with him to avoid admitting he’s raising income taxes without realizing wealth and income are two separate financial concepts
