    Met zo’n veertig buren, waarvan ca tien kinderen, hebben we vanochtend onze wijk schoongemaakt. Dat doen we elk half jaar, met hulp van de @degemeenteutrecht.bsky.social die ons materiaal geeft en maandag alles komt ophalen. #overvecht

    👻 Happy Halloween from your resident Plague Doctor! 🎃 While I was sick, I hand-sewed this long cloak with hood & cowl from thrifted items, basically the first time I ever constructed a garment lol. I also made some potion bottles in net-like crocheted holders that you can't see. Teen made the mask!

    Since I'm enjoying a day of fasting & clear liquids in prep for my colonoscopy, I'll remind you, 45 & up, GET YOUR COLONOSCOPY. The prep isn't fun, but you don't want colon cancer. (My mom died of colon cancer at 75. She never got a colonoscopy. If she had, they'd have found it much earlier.)

    Don't skip it because you're scared of the procedure. It's really not that bad, and they put you out. It's basically like a stomach virus (the prep, but at least you know it's coming) followed by a deep nap. This is my 2nd time, 3 years between, and I've forgotten all the details of the first one.
