You use the bot operator's website to get a booking instead of booking directly (because you can't), and the bot operator skims off a margin for doing very little. See also concert and show tickets, sporting events, and many other attempts to monetise thin air in Rip-Off Britain.

Never mind how many hours of our lives we spend asleep, on the toilet or stuck in traffic jams. I wonder what the proportion of my time on this mortal coil is that I waste trying to convince my phone that it is perfectly upright despite its stubborn insistence on switching to landscape?

First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.
