Ver postThis work opens up many questions I'm excited to pursue in my own lab: how do hormonal transitions across the lifespan, including pregnancy and postpartum, reshape cortical networks to support changing behavioral demands, and when does this adaptive plasticity become maladaptive? (5/n)
Ver postSo excited to share my postdoctoral work!! How do hormones that fluctuate over hours to days reshape neural computations that guide moment-to-moment decisions? In this study, we investigated how estrogen alters cortical dynamics during social choice in female mice: doi.org/10.64898/202...
Ver postOne theme in our conversation was how much building models is an "art": Laureline @laurelinelogiaco.bsky.social shares her approach to theory that connects to data, w/o being bound by it. And how good models involve *deliberate* choices about abstraction and detail, rely on intuition and judgement!
Ver postglad to see the @sfn.org meeting in DC schedule online. I'll be speaking in: *Postnatal Development of Sensory Circuits Supporting Lifelong Social Behaviors* symposium organised by @megkirch.bsky.social & Alicia Che w Dominic Frank, Lauren Orefice, Gabrielle Pouchelon. should be great. come say hi 👋
