    One reason the law is becoming outdated: the large proportion of early voters means it achieves much less of its intended purpose. Another is before you: global nature of social media. I am an NZ voter in another country, free to post as I wish, with many NZ followers—who are restricted in replying!

    I don’t normally campaign for parties, I am not a member of one and doubt I ever will be. But this law I view as both bad and increasingly irrelevant. So, I hope you might join me to elect as large a Greens team as possible. In my areas like transport and academia, they have the strongest policies

    I strongly object to NZ’s law against campaigning on election day. As I am currently in Australia, I shall take advantage of its constitutional implied freedom of political communication and encourage anyone back home who hasn’t yet voted to do so by 7pm today, and to vote Greens on the list
