    People are really, really bought into the idea that "AI is inevitable" and "getting better all the time" and "here to stay" But I don't see how. I don't see how the big, public AI models like Claude and chatGPT continue to be served to customers once the debts of running them boil over

    That's certainly what I believe. But it's incredibly depressing to be working with so many people who just push the inevitability argument anyway. Like, the only thing cool about my job is the satisfaction of solving a problem, and it turns out nobody else cares to do that?
