Starting today, we have to push Talarico and other Democrats to be better. We have to primary the ones that advocate for anti-trans policy in the future. It's clear that nobody needed to throw trans people under the bus in this election to win, and I will continue pushing dems to be better.

I will also add that I never advocated that people do not vote for James Talarico. I specifically advocated only for abstaining from four races, the WORST of the anti-transgender Democrats. And I knew people would misrepresent me when I wrote it. www.erininthemorning.com/p/dont-vote-...

Talarico objectively said that he was in favor of a ban on surgery for trans youth. Trans youth do get gender-affirming top surgeries sometimes, and government has no place in personal medical decisions. I'm happy Talarico won. But it's objectively true he had anti-trans statements and policy.
