The other day I had an argument with a barbed wire fence and my beloved Rohan Dry Requisite trousers of some 15+ years died 😭. New replacements £160 😬. Other new alternatives £100+. So, eBay to the rescue and a used pair of Rohan Dry Frontier trousers in the post to me for £47.50. 🙂 #BirdingGear

if you're looking for a good overview for kids of issues around ai, this episode is really solid imo doesn't get lost in the weeds, explains the real ai pitch ("you don't have to think anymore!") but also hits environmental harms, accuracy problems, even how it's a bubble

Spare some pity this morning (sarcastic) for all the university administrators who assumed it would be a thousand-year reich & spent the last 2 years disassembling what their faculty & students built. Who looks out of step with the national sentiment now? Waiting for their mea culpas (sarcastic).

Death of a legendary club. Had my 18th and 21st in here, and was a member for years during my teens and 20s. It used to have a strict dress code - you couldn't get in if you wore smart shoes and shirt (you belonged in the lager clubs up the road).
