He has still lost his daughter. So he can still not allow himself to be with Blitz. It’s literally that simple. He doesn’t choose Vassago over Blitz because in his head Blitz is Not An Option. He is allowed to date someone else if he deep down thinks he can never forgive himself for Via.

but he also still isn’t ready to be with him. Nothing has changed besides the fact that Blitz promises to be mature, to stop taunting him about his hookups. Because that was driving Stolas away, that’s what made Stolas suggest working elsewhere, and they agreed neither of them want that.

Fuck it. I’m defending Stolas. Or rather, I’m going to try and clear up some of people’s confusion about why he did some of the things he did this season if he still loves Blitz. Which I believe he still does, just not on the surface, not in any way that he’ll allow himself to right now.
