Yes. It was the same with E3: I started by just copying the text I originally wrote in 2004. Not only did that take all the fun out of creating from scratch, it was clumsy and awkward. So I decided instead to rewrite the story as how great I remembered it being, rather than how it actually was.
Ver postIt's a first person narrative so characters first, but I like the world and it's ripe for sequels. It was just perfect timing for me too - I heard about it on Reddit and was looking for a breather from US politics so it was a lovely way to avoid reality for a bit :)

Ver postAll of the above. Army lists (and National Characteristics / Doctrines) are superbly handled; the fires system (including direct and indirect) are nicely done balancing nuance and playability, infantry / air and terrain all equally both nicely representative but still get a game finished!
