Just a new dad that is finding less and less time to actually game haha. That is my main hobby though; video games are probably 80% of what I chat about on BSky. 😊

Honestly, I wish there were indie games that took direct inspiration from this version of Front Mission. Customizing mechs are just so fun, and I love its 2D aesthetics so much. But most of alternative mech games are 3D and are more of an action RPG type.

The maps have really good variation that also shapes your strategy for each mission while also maintaining its coherency with the plot and situation. There are some old mechanics for sure that doesn’t age well, but features of the emu helps mitigate the annoyance.

Rolled the credits on Front Mission! This was a really fun experience. The plot is good even without elaborate cutscenes even though it reduces the impact of some character moments. The ending was surprisingly good! But the main grip is the gameplay anyway!
