    I feel like there are a couple transcendent moments in Resonant; the karaoke puzzle, and i really appreciated the art that looked like computer render errors with the same model mirrored & rotated, but i do think it suffers from trying to be an open world game.

    Yeah, I loved the sequence where Dylan literally jumped into the Unknown, too. It does have its moments. Just pitifully few, and some of the best ones -- like the karaoke thing -- optional.

    And the music was just adequate. Not bad, but not memorable. They could have used any of the multiple sounds NYC has created over the years, but no. Took itself too seriously, too. I found myself missing the corny-but-in-a-good-way Old Gods of Asgard stuff.

    Frex: in the first game, TOH was a character in itself. We don't get that here. We didn't get NYC either, just Generic Small City #64. NYC is easy to characterize! What if the West Incursion Zone had been Broadway? What if the Hiss could infect rats and pigeons? What a missed opportunity.
