But this is basically just regular old computer programming, just in an extremely esoteric and inconvenient programming language. There's nothing more magical going on than that. It one-shotted a computer program. It's been able to do this. I don't see why this merits the "sparks of" mysticism.

2) This is a huge amount of bookkeeping which it is doing "in its head", so to speak. This is the kind of thing which, I admit, I didn't expect LLMs to ever be able to get good at. It performs all these filtering and pivoting transformations on all these numbers without making a breaking error.
