Anyway this kid has always loved to make stuff and it's high time he has a designated place in the house for this continued development. In this era (and all the time, but especially now) we encourage creativity and the desire to iterate and design and practice craft!!!

I wish I could've soundbited this kid, but he basically said, "Why would I want AI to do all the fun parts for me, while oh, gee, look at that, it's also draining and entire lake and making rich people richer while I lose all my skills?" THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT.

Last night our 11yo told us how much he enjoys making things himself and he doesn't understand the appeal of AI at all because the fun part is the crafting and omg his dad and I just spent an hour while he's at school reimagining half his room as a craft workshop space for him it's gonna be AMAZING.
