Hello im fossil raccoon ill be posting the art I make here. Hope yall enjoy
Ver postFanart of the amazing @junonoxastra.bsky.social and the terrific @battytalbot.bsky.social seriously give these two a follow and watch their streams there great 👍
Ver postthe comparisons to photography don't hold either. a photo is an intentional manipulation of reality, a choice to interact with a certain stream of light in a certain way, with prompting yr just interfacing with someone else's procedure they've already laid out for you. it's art but it's not yours
Ver postthe thing that makes art yours is not the effort, it's the intent. splattering paint on a canvas improvisationally is still more artistic than prompting, because even if you don't control exactly where the paint falls you are still in complete control of the procedure
Ver postthe line is blurry, anyone whose gotten good at art knows that most of the process is picking and choosing which automation you're ready to discard, but like, outsourcing the entire finished work to an algorithm you didn't set the bounds of is outside the purview of authorship
