  Today a parent asked if tidy is related to tide because she tidies twice a day. For me, tidying is like a tsunami! It turns out she was right! Tidy comes from the Middle English word "tide" meaning seasonal, right or timely. But for me, it will always be Nessa 🤣 #morphmastery #vocabulary

  Mistakes are essential! This was today's spelling with my dyslexic learner. Every time he crosses something out I cheer, because he's working out his strategies. It make look messy but this is learning in progress. #dyslexia #morphmastery #spelling #metacognition

  Thank you to @jelliclecat.bsky.social et al for this research. I found it a harrowing read. When schools do not acknowledge or support dyslexia, the consequences for learners can be catastrophic. The concept of not being "seen" really strikes a chord. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
