    If you reject the idea that Schumer and Jeffries assuming leadership roles is inevitable and agitate against it, speak against it, loudly and consistently, and if it gains some momentum, there are likely to be more conversations in both the Democratic Party and also media, which influences discourse

    We've seen this happen already with the doomed Speakership of Kevin McCarthy, which was taken down by the House Freedom Caucus, but that caucus was able to make the moves because they knew, full and well, that there was a groundswell of opposition among their base and among social media chatter

    Attempting to overthrow existing leadership is risky. You can lose assignments, support, and money. If you're going to advocate a change in leadership, you need to know there's at least an opportunity to be successful and also see a groundswell to protect you publicly Well. Time for the groundswell

    There are, right now, many members of the Democratic caucus in both the House and Senate, and likely many in the newly elected membership, who either don't want Schumer or Jeffries or think it's time to change. Calls are already being made, but there also needs to be a feeling of opposition.

    Schumer and Jeffries' leadership is tenuous and immediately after this historic landslide that was, based on polls, paired with a distrust of them and the election of progressives and new leaders means that they're could be a radical shift. You, as a voter and voice, can influence that.
