I've fully removed my No Politics rule, I will argue all points and ban anyone I disagree with :) because people who wanna force the topic will and I do think having an open forum sometimes helps, or better yet lets me filter anyone I don't want to ever be around.

i've never had a no politics rule in the 5 years i've been streaming and politics is never spoken about unless i want to and i facilitate it

and like i get it, but you can shut down ANY topic for literally any reason at any time, with or without a rule! if you're just putting a blanket no politics out there, you better be loud about who is and isn't welcome. i don't wanna get jumpscared with a "can we not talk about gay rights y'all"

no politics is one of those twitch chat rules you see everywhere and it feels like it makes sense, but when you think about it a little bit there are so many other topics you probably wouldn't wanna talk about in a public chatroom with strangers, but politics is always the one brought to attention
