  I have a grave suspicion, that I want to test in the near future Pf2e sandboxes suck more for people failing to properly read subsystems like Chases, and that stupid 12 miles hex, than anything actually related to the math

  Goal 3 makes sense if you're interested in sandbox play Which is bit moot since 5e guidance almost exclusively implies a trad game in which GM chooses monsters by hand anyway, so yeah, oh well

  Also, people overestimate a bit how well old editions deal with sandboxes as well In practice, a party of level 7 BX PCs, assuming properly rolled loot tables, will mow down with ease anything with less than 4HD
