    Hooking everything up to the internet opens yourself to shit like this. You'd hope the average corpo would run sufficient security to keep their management systems away from external access but here we are... The average home user with a smart freezer, not a chance, but at least it can display ads!

    It is quite possible that the likes of ubislop fail, and it's certainly possible (though I wouldn't bank on it) that this leads to an indie game renaissance - if enough devs retain their skills But a lot of very talented people are still going to find themselves unemployed in the meantime

    Like I said I don't think the biggest AI players will go bankrupt, nor the legacy tech companies with significant diversity (Microsoft, Oracle etc.) It's the heavy AI using industries like AAA game dev that will be fucked if they keep firing staff in favour of "cheap" AI that will not remain cheap
