    To be honest, I didn't feel this good in 2018. Because: A: We didn't win the Senate. We *lost* seats in the Seante. And on election night 2018 I was like "But Ruth Bader Ginsburg could still fucking die." B: I was hyper aware that Trump *wasn't* on the ballot and 2020 would be the real test.

    NY-17 (the district next to my NY-16) finally getting a mention on MSNOW. About Mike Lawler getting his fucking ass kicked. Which I am SO happy about. I'm very happy for Cait Connely (even though I endorsed one of her primary challengers). Getting rid of Lawler was fucking key.

    Yes. Yes BUT. I've often said I'm a "recovering Neolib" the way alcoholics who have been sober for 30 years still describe themselves as "recovering." And the drug that Clinton/Carville offered was WINNING. Which was something Dems had totally forgotten how to do. YOU HAD TO BE THERE. :)

    My wife (who is not form this country and we've been together since I was 18) says that the biggest change in my *entire personality* has been going from a (Bill) Clinton Democrat to... not. That journey is all about BELIEVING in the policies, seeing how they FAILED, an UPDATING my opinions.

    I hear what you're saying but... If Black women didn't BELIEVE things could change, NOTHING would change. Ever. So, respectfully, I will not wake the fuck up. I will always believe Black women can change the fuckign world becuse they've done it so many times before.
