I also see critiques of “the show did this thing that makes logical sense in universe but isn‘t good from a storytelling standpoint and thus this is bad writing“ meanwhile it’s a show that more often than not values the realism over the storytelling, thus it’s still good writing.

To be fair it doesn’t help that that show takes inspiration from a more mainstream show that happens to be comedy but they could tonally not be more different.

I legit saw a YouTuber with a sizable following for the fandom I’m in say “why can’t this show have more comedy? Why isn’t this show funny?” Meanwhile it’s literally a DRAMA?? It’s not meant to be funny??
