He’s pretty excited to be married. I think it was way more important to him than to me. Society likes to blame the guy but I was always the one going “what does it matter?” 😂 We were asked if it felt different right after and I said no but he said yes! I was a little surprised but he told me

Yeah, that was the other concern. We talked about but never got POAs for each other, but particularly with the pension thing it was like might as well get married 😂

The taxes are different (lower) for a spouse, though, and bc of how long I’ve been at my job as my spouse he’d be entitled to my pension should anything happen to me. And I mean, we’ve been together 21 + years so he should totally get that 😂
