    I belive we may need offensive options as well. Not "lets conquer x" options but a good old deference model a la Lord Fisher. That is bigly big navy with a Finn at the helm so anybody is guessing if we will stick a knife in and so behaves themselves.

    If USNavy is guarding freedom.of navigation it is either 1. We pay pirates ransomes, accept anybody can shot at us and high shipping costs... 2. We do a Rule Britania but this time Europe rules the waves enough that nobody wants to start problems... There is autarchy route too but no, just no.
