Ver postIt's frankly absurd that an extension of the Bakerloo is even being seriously talked about while Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Bristol and Birmingham have *zero* metro lines between them. The #1 urban infrastructure project in this country should be a Crossrail sized line through Manchester.

And on that metric it would very obviously be putting a tube line into a huge city that has none, rather than bolstering an already huge network
