  This kind of blind hatred is just gonna end up shutting people out, dude. FPS games are a borderline solved science and it sounds like all he's having the AI do is make the general skeleton. Like, if we just shun people for putting in the effort and ultimately falling onto AI as a plan C for stuff

  I'd like to give you a personal hint: steal knowledge as much as you can instead. Like, ask the AI to make a guide for newcomers explaining how to code the very thing it just did. This will allow you to start relying less and less on it, and ensure there are no hidden issues.
