the pattern was that the political media mostly ignored the first two rounds of no kings protests and then kind of begrudgingly covered the third one — the largest single day protest in united states history — after enough readers whined that it was being undercovered.

you know what was in retrospect a huge story that the political media mostly missed? no kings. the savvy take was that the protests had no juice because so many of the protesters were old. seniors are by far the highest voting propensity age cohort.

Talk about Iran all you want, and sure it's a calamity and voters are mad, but our new electeds understand that masked secret police murdering people in the streets has to be stopped, the killers held to account, their commanders held to account, their financial backers held to account.
