    There are still a few great shops around. The best record store in the city. Bunker is still great. But most of the dining places have downscaled to just being bars over the past few years. I miss some of the better restaurants. Beer Kitchen closing was a huge blow

    I can't think of anywhere in KC that has that density and diversity of interesting + useful businesses now.

    i don't know how I ended up here a month later, but mid-to-late '90s Westport had multiple bookstores, two Tivoli locations, multiple new & vintage clothing stores, multiple record stores, and more, along with that housing stock. I miss it all the time.
