Ukiyo-e (Pictures of the Floating World), is a genre of Japanese art from the 17th-19th centuries that has produced and inspired some of the most treasured woodblock prints. I also share bits of Japanese culture. & Living Artists: @uridev.urieldana.com

Wonderful Hiroshige exhibition at British Museum this summer. It sent me back to Essays in Idleness. So many of them are like woodblock prints in that they a freighted with subtext.

JUST HAPPENED: West: “You can’t violate another country’s sovereignty.” Jennings: “Why? We do it all the time. Who’s going to stop us?” He admitted America breaks the law constantly—and then dared the world to do something about it. That’s not journalism. That’s fascism on live TV.
