    My first journey on the Lumo West Coast service. At £20.90 for a single, it was hard to ignore this one. Compared to the East Coast service, it wasn't overcrowded and it was a very pleasant journey. It does, however, annoy me that they run diesel trains entirely under electric wires.

    This is absolutely an easily solvable problem. it just requires *sufficient* conversion of existing space reserved for car parking into space for shared bikes. And where it is actually in demand. Like all bike infrastructure, it's mainly an issue of political will.

    For those going, 'It's a non-issue'/'what about pavement parking'. Sure, deal with badly-parked cars too, but don't pretend this is nothing. Shares e-bikes are *such* a gain for urban transport, it would be criminal to see them sidelined or banned because some councils can't sort geo-tagged parking.
