    It can be true that the state-sanctioned transphobia is currently the law, and that that law is a bad law (as it's clearly not compliant with the European Convention on Human Rights in many ways). That leads me to the conclusion that we must campaign to overturn it. Sad that Stonewall won't.

    Fun fact- Stonewall uk is not actually named after the bar where trans and gay people were harassed by police until they finally rioted, thereby kicking off the modern lgbt rights movement, but rather the giant immobile stone wall you hit when you’re a trans person asking for inclusion in society

    A GC has apparently logged on to their Bluesky account to lecture me on legal accuracy – seemingly without having read the relevant section of the Gender Recognition Act 2004, which makes clear it treats sex/gender as interchangeable. "the person's *sex* becomes that of a man" (emphasis mine)
