  Happy third birthday to Kermit and Luca! These big boys came as tiny lambs in the spring of 2023. Many male lambs are harvested for meat this time of year, but Kermit and Luca were rescued by a farm intern who thought they deserved a chance at life.

  One of those days where I wasn’t looking for anything in particular. Plenty of movement along the river, including a dipper carrying nesting material into a cave… one best left undisturbed. And then, as always, a robin appeared at just the right time. The less you look for, the more you see.
