    this is exactly what the customer expectation is, they are poisoned on AI and if you adopt reasonable disclosures and guards around it then they will be forced to deal with their IT guy having to flip a default for them.

    if dev-politics surveys aren't okay, then why not? don't you want the customer to be well informed? if no one's ashamed of their political stance then they have nothing to hide! (extend this info-gathering to criminal records, geopolitical loyalties etc etc)

    it's a joke. but implementing a survey like this is perfectly in step with the reasoning many gave in favour of mandatory AI disclosure: simply give the customer all information that they may care about, so that they can make an informed decision about who/what to support!
