    i'm sure *some* people will shift to local models, but far, far more will either quit using ai or pay whatever insane prices the survivors at the end of all this are gonna charge to stay afloat

    lol kind of an insane take, the average user of any of the slop machines on the market today definitely does not know anything about how the ai works, or even what a gpu is. if every cloud ai provider fell off the earth tomorrow, they'd just go back to using google and wikipedia manually
