Dear fridge (and other domestic appliance manufacturers), I really don't want my domestic appliances to have internet access, and I think corporate variants with internet access are all just gimmicky toys bought by CEOs with far too much day-to-day operational involvement.

We've had our GP Hub open to 10pm Mon-Fri, and 8-8 weekends, since 2014 doing urgent care. 2021 we opened it even wider to do planned care. The vast majority of our out-of-hours staff have in-hours jobs and take this on as extra shift work. Needs someone to commission/pay for it though.

It's over now, and I think I've been very good at curbing my inner curmudgeon. I still find it bizarre though how all year long we tell children not to speak to strangers and certainly not to accept sweets from them, then once a year we send them out to knock on strangers' doors and ask for sweets.
