    after something like 10 years post coming out, still not having changed the image she has of me is hurting me pretty bad. I understand that using neopronouns is not really intuitive for everyone but I did get across that being he/himed is so much more hurtful than being she/hered.

    Last night, I called out a friend for misgendering me multiple times. later in a private conversation, she apologized and we had a good talk. I was able to get across that, what's painful is that, when she accidentally he/hims me, it's revealing that deep down inside, she still sees me as a man.

    As of now, those are not my preferred pronouns but they are definitely tolerated whereas he/him is not. I'm really proud of myself that I stood up for myself and maybe calling her out in public made people more aware. Because sadly it's not just her who keeps misgendering me. I will speak up more!
