    my Elder Millennial traits have been showing as I arrange everything for six weeks in Europe: 1. Important bookings like flights and hotels must take place on a Real Computer, not a phone 2. All booking emails get saved as PDFs 3. Damn right I'm printing those emails before I get on the plane

    I am obviously familially biased but I think what the statisticians did with risk factors was very ahead of their time and most of the criticism has more to do with people misinterpreting after rather than them being useless from the beginning! Very proud of Framingham ♥️

    My "ackshually" take is that polls effectively capture signalling rather than being predictively useful, and if you care about signals, great! I don't find it very useful and mostly ignore them. Same w stated/revealed prefs; stated prefs are useful to gauge attitudes even if not good predictors.
