    I predicted this would be the first thing out of Dem leadership's mouths. I based my prediction on the belief that the majority of establishment Dems are captured by corporate interests who would rather not have it demonstrated to the proletariat that the powerful can face consequences.

    So when Jeffries says “Americans don’t want to get even they want us to get shit done” he might technically be right- but his rhetoric is wrong. Getting even, so to speak, is the NECESSARY PRECURSOR to being able to get shit done in a meaningful way.

    Speaking without memeing, it’s not that I want revenge or to get even, though I do have those emotions. It’s that democracy cannot survive the kinds of assaults the right wing has been subjecting it to. If we value democracy, we MUST pursue justice against those who are attacking it.
