And again, we're in a state that has, or had, subsidized their market more than others. Relative to other people I'm sure we're lucky. The fact that "lucky" looks like this is insane. I'm sure we'll figure something out, but man I gotta tell you the budget is getting real fucking tight.

My first instinct is to rationalize going w/o health insurance for a year and just hoping I won't have any major incidents. Can I just be more careful? Can I stop going to the doctor? Saving $14k a year and getting lucky sounds really nice for us. It's a horrible position people are in right now.

We just got our health insurance renewal information for 2027, and our health insurance will now have doubled in cost since 2023. I'm extremely happy the blue wave happened, but our household will now be paying over $14k per year for health insurance. And we don't have kids. This shit is ridiculous.
