    Personally I think the exercise is most useful not because it’s the opening salvo in the Bookmarks v Tabs war, but as a way to ask, what are people doing with the model, in what ways could it be recast or reconceptualized, what would that look like?

    "Browser tab has a persistent state that a bookmark doesn't" is also a design decision. We have so much more memory available now, and state management is way more sophisticated than in 1995 (like HATEOAS) - why shouldn't page state be saveable as a bookmark, aside from a lack of vision?

    "ADHD people need tabs instead of bookmarks because we forget about them" But bookmarks being out of sight is a *design decision*. A bookmark in a book on your shelf is extremely visible, but Microsoft decided not to do that in fucking IE1 (1995) and we simply never revisited that decision.
