  Just a few days ago I predicted that the restrictions on covid vaccine recommendations for people under 65 will extend to ALL vaccines. Sadly this has come to pass. It is short sighted and will disproportionately impact minority communities and the uninsured. apnews.com/article/vacc...

  5. So, it seems to me that HHMI has this tragically backwards. I sincerely hope they will reconsider. Disclosure: HHMI paid my way through graduate school, for which I am very grateful—hence my well-intentioned critique.

  Recently, we found out that our R01 funded through PAR-22-241 was withdrawn by NIAID as the NIH no longer prioritizes research programs related to DEI. This has been devastating news for our young research group, and we are now trying to scram together for a path forward 🧵1/12
