    Even in a serious case -- if I need a ride to the hospital, *now* -- I'd make my case and be assertive, not say FUCK YOU, I'M GONNA DIE, TRAITOR. I ... just wouldn't. I dunno. I think that's terrible. It can be excused, but it's something that *would need* to be excused, if that makes sense.

    "I'm here to help you." "Well you BETTER do everything I say, or you're a fucking asshole traitor!" You can see how it sounds super toxic. That's how I hear it when people @ or do a whole-ass essay or something with allied pols, specifically with these threat-like demands.

    No matter how you characterize the relationship between citizen and pol, this feels disgusting to me. If we're their boss, do you want your boss to talk to you that way? Your employee? Your parent? Your child?
