    If it helps, I'm pretty sure he is actually an unemployed Border Collie inhabiting the skin of a Maine Coon, and I was finally able to confirm 200mg gabapentin (no. Not a typo. I wish) kept him sedate enough. Definitely get one of those Elizabethan donuts instead of the shame cone though.

    Oh no... He get fixed today? This whole thread just gave me flashbacks to my desperate explanation of "he's only an 8lb kitten and he's already had 150mg of gabapentin, I can't keep him from doing parkour" to the vet

    ...thank you for the warning, mine goes in next Friday and I shall just leave him in sad baby jail for most of it. (He doesn't cry that much and it's a whole tunnel complex not just a carrier)
