    I don't support the Alaska system. You could move to that from a top-two system, but (1) you can't make voters change an election system too soon after changing it once and (2) many RCV supporters prefer Maine model to Alaska model.

    I think it does damage to the organizing in two ways: (1) the fact that Q3 folks are praising our local election system when many municipalities want to move away from it and (2) many people RCV in primaries + RCV in general like Maine.

    One of the claims I keep seeing is "nobody minded Trump until gas prices went up" and certainly that marginal voter exists, but on the whole that is not quite right - after an initial crash, his numbers have ticked down at a steady, regular rate. People started losing patience before gas prices.
